SO… *smacks lips*

I have been trying some new hair products and techniques for a few months now. From my itchy scalp to my hair moisture, I wanted to try some new stuff.

New Way to Detangle!

Although I love my afro, wash days are absolutely NO FUN when I have to detangle this mane. It is a must that my hair stays stretched and detangled. My wash days have been stress-free every since I made this decision. I don’t have as many knots and I get to see how long my hair is more often!

Along with keeping my hair stretched, I have also gone back to washing my hair once a week. Because I had issues with my scalp, I stopped washing once a week and chose biweekly instead. I have seen a bit of a difference in my scalp, but I also figured that comes with using the right products. I have sensitive skin, so some products won’t work for my face. I had to remember that this fact also includes my scalp

Head & Shoulders – The Royal Oils Collection

I have been on the search for finding a shampoo and conditioner that doesn’t irritate my scalp and soothes my scalp at the same time. I figured that Head and Shoulders wouldn’t do me wrong since this brand has a history of scalp care. I love it so far!

Head & Shoulders Royal Oils Moisture Boost Shampoo – According to the bottle, this shampoo is supposed to clean and hydrate hair and scalp, giving you long-lasting scalp relief. It’s supposed to give a rich creamy lather that cleans and removes build-up while hydrating hair and relieving dry-itchy scalp. I’ll be honest and say that this is the first shampoo that actually does what the bottle says for me. Along with washing my hair weekly, my scalp has felt much relief. Plus, I don’t feel like hair is stripped of its moisture, my scalp feels clean, and my hair smells great! It says to use twice a week for the best results, but I haven’t done that before.

Head & Shoulders Royal Oils Moisture Renewal Conditioner – According to the bottle, this conditioner restores moisture to hair and scalp, giving you long-lasting scalp relief. It’s supposed to be a rich and creamy formula that restores moisture to hair and scalp, leaving you with touchably soft, healthy hair. I like it a lot and it does its job! My hair feels soft, it gives me great slip, and hair smell greater as it accompanies the smell of the shampoo. Like the shampoo, it says to use twice a week for the best results, but I haven’t done that before.

Mielle Babassu Curly Cocktail

I was on the search for a thick, moisturizing cream for my hair. I liked it in the summer. Plus it smells good! It’s getting colder, so I’m not sure if this is a good stand-alone moisturizer yet.

Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask

There are many things that I cannot put on my face due to having sensitive skin. I’ve always wanted a facial mask that doesn’t break out my face after an hour. I came across the Australian Pink Clay from Sephora’s website. It was a bit pricy for a mask, so I was hoping that this would work. According to the box, “Our Australian botanical infused pink clay mask is a super-powered 4-in-1 formula. It’s an instant detox mask to tighten pores, invigorate a dull complexion and instantly boost radiance. Here are my thoughts.

I LIKE IT! My face doesn’t break out, nor is it itchy during or afterward. I used it twice so far. Now I have to use it consistently in order to see any results.
