My 5 Favorite Songs… this will be difficult to write because I love a lot of songs! However, I will try and give this to you. (FYI, this list is not in any order.)
- “Let Me Love You” by Mario | This song still gives me all the feels that I had in the 8th grade when I first heard this song. This whole album was the bomb and I’ll still listen to it to this day.
- “Where I Belong” by Jake&Papa | If you’re not familiar with them, they are a duo R&B and Soul singing group based in LA, California. They’ve been out since 2010 (I wanna say) and they came out with an EP called Tattoos and Blues on April 28th of this year. I love their music and this is one of my favorite songs on their EP.
- “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)” by Mint Condition | I am into feel-good music and this song gives me all of the feels. I discover this song from when I was in the marching band and has been one of my favorites ever since. Mint Condition paved the way for me to really enjoy live bands.
- “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by The Backstreet Boys | I grew up listening a lot of pop music (or anything that showed on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel) and The Backstreet Boys were one of my favs. I still get excited whenever this song comes on.
- “Can We Talk” by Tevin Campbell | Along side pop music, I also grew up an old soul when it came to music. I can jam to anything between The Temptations’ early records to Kendrick Lamar, and Tevin Campbell isn’t any different.
Okay, I did it! Let me also add that my list of favorites go beyond only 5 songs. I love, love music and my list always changes over time. Sometimes I grow tired of one or I may have stopped liking a song after I paid attention to the lyrics. However, let’s say that these 5 haven’t changed and they take me back to when I first heard of the song.
